Moving Files Around

SCP is still around but no longer used as it has unresolved security issues

Use SFTP instead

 sftp servera

this leaves you at the command prompt

some basic sftp commands

pwd	remote working directory
lpwd	Local working directory
mkdir	make a directory on the remote server
cd	move on remote system
lcd	chage local directory
get	name of file can specify the whole directory use -r to upload recursevily
put	upload something to remotesystem use option -r to upload directories
