SCP is still around but no longer used as it has unresolved security issues

Use SFTP instead

<code> sftp servera</code>

this leaves you at the command prompt

some basic sftp commands
^  pwd  | remote working directory |
^  lpwd  | Local working directory |
^  mkdir  | make a directory on the remote server|
^  cd  | move on remote system |
^  lcd  | chage local directory |
^  get  | name of file can specify the whole directory use -r to upload recursevily |
^  put  | upload something to remotesystem use option -r to upload directories |
